Business training offered in Delhi, Cobleskill MARGARETVILLE, N.Y., February 26, 2004 - Three seminars to help salespeople, business supervisors and entrepreneurs become more efficient and effective will be held this spring at SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY Delhi. All three programs will be offered at both campuses. Participants must register at least one week before the classes begin; the fee is $40 for each two-day seminar. The seminars are sponsored by the Catskill Business Roundtable under a grant obtained by the Catskill Watershed Corporation from the Appalachian Regional Commission. "Sales and Customer Relations" will be held at SUNY Cobleskill April 12 and 19, and at SUNY Delhi April 14 and 21. This training promotes the importance of good first impressions, positive work ethic and building customer loyalty. Communications, account development, handling objections and referrals, effective problem solving, business etiquette and stress management are topics that will be covered in the all-day seminar. "Management and Supervisory Training" will be offered at SUNY Cobleskill April 21 and 28, and at SUNY Delhi May 12 and 19. Designed to help existing businesses grow and prosper, the training covers management by objectives, establishing an organizational structure, developing leadership skills, principles of motivation, conflict management and business ethics. "Entrepreneurial Skill Building," intended for more established companies, runs May 12 and 19 at SUNY Cobleskill and June 2 and 9 at SUNY Delhi. It covers business plan evaluation, market assessment and planning, developing contingency plans, best business practices, business communications and E-commerce.
