Take a kid fishing May 31 at Pepacton Reservoir MARGARETVILLE, May 23, 2008 - The annual Take a Kid Fishing Day will be held Saturday, May 31 from 11 to 3 at the Pepacton Reservoir. The event will be staged at the south end of the Shavertown Bridge on NYS Route 30. It is co-sponsored by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and the Catskill Watershed Corporation (CWC). Equipment, bait and lessons will be available. There will be free refreshments, and prizes for the biggest fish caught during the day. Adults will need a NYS fishing license but NYC access permits will not be needed on this day. The CWC is a non-profit, local development corporation responsible for several environmental protection, economic development and education programs in the New York City Watershed West of the Hudson River.
